What’s Wonder-full  about YOUR birth year?

When I spotted this photograph on canvas (Eric Renard) featuring the “Bowtie” logo and jet-plane hood ornament of a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, I couldn’t help but smile. I share a birth year with that magnificent machine. We’re both products of 1955 — steel-framed, hopeful, and, with some diligent maintenance, still running pretty well!

The Bel Air is often called one of the most beautiful cars ever built — functional yet stylish, with a design that still turns heads seventy years later. It’s more than just a car; it’s a symbol of possibility, optimism, and the open road ahead.

Standing in front of this artwork, I felt that same spark of mid-century confidence. The artist captured it perfectly — the sparkle of chrome, the bold color, the promise of movement into the jet-age. It’s as if the car itself is saying, “Come on, let’s go!”

At seventy, I may not be quite as shiny as that chrome, and I rarely turn a head anymore, but I share its spirit. I’m built for the long haul — a little worn in, but with plenty of adventure left under my hood.

So, I’m proud to be a 1955 classic — still curious, still cruising, and still choosing yes to the open road ahead.

Your Wonder:

Look up the #1 car, movie, song, or dance move from your birth year. It’s a fun way to glimpse the spirit of your beginnings — and to celebrate the time you came rolling into the world!
